A native of Sligo Town, Dav discovered her musical ability at an early age, starring in school operas and as a soloist in her church choir. In her teens she was a founder member of "The Sligo Fun Company" performing in several musicals in Sligo's Hawks well Theatre.

Dav left Sligo to study languages at U.C.D., but was drawn to Dublin's thriving music scene, and joined rock band "This is This". With Dav as their new lead singer the band were soon signed to W.E.A. records and released two singles "Emily" and "Biblethumper". This led to appearances on the "Late Late Show" and at the "Mean Fiddler" in London sharing billing with "Something Happens" and "The Stunning".

Seeking a change in direction, Dav decided to pursue a solo career initially concentrating on studio work as a session singer. Upon recording her first radio commercial Dav soon found herself much in demand, singing on literally hundreds of advertising jingles for both radio and television.

In 1990 Dav was cast in the stage musical "Blood Brothers" at the Olympia Theatre playing several roles and understudying the lead role of "Mrs Johnstone". At the end of a six month run, director Danny Hiller was so impressed by Dav that he cast her in a new musical "Goodbye America" alongside impressionist Alistair McGowan and Conrad Nelson. The show toured England for five months to critical acclaim.

On her return to Dublin, while continuing her session work, Dav began working collaborations with several musicians and writers including pianist and songwriter Michael O'Neill. They enjoyed a lengthy residency in "George's Bistro", Dublin, before Robbie Fox of "The Pink Elephant" approached Dav to launch his new live music venue in the newly named "Reynards", and once again a highly popular two year residency followed.

While still performing on the live music scene, Dav also represented Ireland in several International song contests in Greece, Turkey, and Romania, She has also competed in "Eurosong 93" and "Eurosong 96" the first of which led to providing backing vocals for Bosnia Herzegovina in the Eurovision Song Contests at the Point Depot in 1994 and 1995. Dav's voice has also featured on many productions for both T.V. and Film, most notably, award winning Korean cult movie "Pisces-Mulgogijari" and Oscar winning documentary "Into The Arms Of Strangers".she has also worked over the years with Bill Whelan and the Irish Film Orchestra on various soundtracks.

As a result of her vocal coaching work, Dav was asked to put together a twenty piece mixed choir for Michael Bolton's last Point Depot concert, rehearsing the group to perform three songs at the finale of his show. These days Dav prefers to perform in more intimate venues, sharing the stage with some of Irelands leading musicians. Dav has presented themed shows "The Songs Of Julie London" and has also taken the opportunity to sing some of her own favourite songs.
